At Five Star Weddings & Events it's their missions to assist each couple
in designing a "One of a Kind Wedding" that will reflect their personalities,
life style, family traditions and spiritual beliefs. Hearing a guest tell
the bride and groom that this was the Best Wedding they have ever attended
gives Laurie great satisfaction knowing that the couple has exceeded their
Wedding Day expectations. Laurie has become one of the top wedding planners
in Southern California. She has been a hospitality industry professional
since 1981, and has specialized in weddings and special events for the
past twenty years.

Laurie's weddings have graced the pages of Inside Weddings, Southern
California Bride, Bride and Bloom, and Bride, Desert Magazine
and she was recently showcased on the WE Channel's Platinum Weddings
where she coordinated Olympic Medalist Toby Dawson and Leah Gordon's wedding
at the Private Bighorn Golf Club in Palm Desert, California. As founder
and creative genius behind the very appropriately named Five Star Weddings
& Events, she has coordinated celebrations at such prestigious establishments
as the Montage Resort, Ritz-Carlton, Beverly Hills Hotel, Hotel Del Coronado,
Riviera Resort & Spa and the St. Regis.

Laurie flat out spoils her clients. One bride who booked her Royal Presidential
Package, which included both Laurie and a personal assistant for the entire
wedding weekend, felt totally pampered. "Laurie truly understands each
person's individual needs, and I was so impressed with all the details
that she and her assistant were ready to handle. The wedding day especially
was a work of perfection! They dealt with nine women and a two-year-old
with great care and patience. And the way they had decorated our hotel
room for our wedding night was so beautiful! Words can't describe how
special it was to have such great attention paid to so many things."

appreciated her recommendations on what was important and what wasn't
to have a great celebration," recalls another bride. "I know her advice
saved us a lot of time and money." Laurie says, "Every bride and groom
have a different style and vision. I'm given the opportunity to create
fresh new ideas that will reflect their personalities, making their event

Commitment
Laurie says her ethics and empathy are based on a deep spirituality. "The
Lord has blessed me, and I feel it's important that I pass those blessings
on. I remind my clients to stay focused on the real meaning of their vows,
and to not let the stresses of the day make them lose sight of the lifetime
of committed partnership they're about to enter." Laurie's quickness and
ability to anticipate is almost the stuff of legend among her peers. "She
seems to be able to resolve problems before anyone else is aware that
there is a potential problem," says one videographer. She always tries
to be one step ahead so that she can say, "its right here," or "I've already
taken care of it." In fact, Laurie is so far ahead of the game she's taken
out the ultimate insurance: "I had myself ordained just in case the minister
doesn't show up," she explains. "A professional coordinator must be open
and ready for anything."
